Elite Goalkeeper Academy - Summer 2010

Summer Schedule at the KC Sports Lodge

This academy is for Goalkeepers 9+ years of age and older.  This academy is designed to prepare Goalkeepers for their upcoming outdoor seasons—including High School Goalkeepers wanting to prepare for tryouts!

 Cost:  $150 for entire summer! 

During the academy sessions the goalkeeper will work on numerous aspects of their game. These facets include, but, are not limited to:  ball handling, diving, deflecting, footwork, crosses, 1 v 1s, angles, distributions, communication, etc.  The purpose of the training is to put the keepers in more realistic training scenarios often times dealing with multiple balls.  We place the goalkeepers with training partners that are their age and in their level of development.  Each lesson focuses upon one specific part of goalkeeping to meet the needs of the keeper. 

All sessions are led by former professional goalkeeper BJ Latas.  BJ has over 10 years coaching experience and has established himself as one of the areas premier goalkeeper instructors.  As a youth player BJ was a state and regional ODP goalkeeper U16-U19.  BJ was an All American at Harris Stowe State College 98/99 season and was drafted/member of the St. Louis Ambush (NPSL).  We excited to have BJ on staff and we look forward to seeing you this summer.
